Who we're here to help

At Warner Planning we help clients navigate the ever-changing and complicated planning system so that they can achieve the best possible outcome and realise the full potential of their investments and dreams.

Warner Planning opened in February 2020 and draws on the team’s experience of working in the public, private and development sectors. Our vast experience helps us understand the respective interest of all stakeholders in the planning process.

We promise to provide all of our clients with a personalised planning strategy, designed to meet your needs and to help you to achieve your aspirations. We will seek to clarify the planning process so that you understand each stage. We will answer your questions, address your concerns and give you clear information.

Our approach

Our focus is to provide transparent, honest and efficient advice at every stage of the process.

With technical knowledge and experience, we seek to solve your planning problems. You will have Chartered Town Planners to support you who will respond promptly to your requests and help manage the process.

Not only do we consider planning policies but also local politics and other key factors that can influence planning decisions. This enables us to tailor our approach and deliver the best possible outcome for you.

We will work consultatively with you throughout the process along with our consultant team and the local planning authority.

Above everything, our aim is to provide you with clear, professional and honest advice.

Simon Warner
Role: Managing Director
Time in planning: 20 years
Fun fact: Simon wanted to be a weatherman when he was younger

Simon has a variety of experience in urban and rural planning having worked for local authorities in Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire, multidisciplinary consultancies, and a housing developer. With a proven track record of successfully delivering planning permissions for complex projects, Simon enjoys collaborating with others and unpicking difficult projects.

Catrin Davies
Role: Assistant Planner
Time in planning: 1 year
Fun fact: Catrin enjoys cooking, walks and socialising with friends (when allowed!)

Catrin works on all aspects of planning, ranging from listed buildings, certificates of lawfulness and strategic planning, all the way through to residential and commercial developments. With a Town Planning Masters from the University of Cardiff, Catrin also enjoys the analytical side of planning, researching the history of a case and constructing the justification for an approval.

Michael Aronson
Role: Planning Consultant
Time in planning: 10 years
Fun fact: Michael's most unusual job was issuing and collecting fines from people falsely claiming free prescriptions and sight tests from the NHS.

Michael works on all aspects of planning ranging from single dwellings to strategic planning both residential and commercial developments. He advises on all stages of the planning process from start to finish including the necessary appraisals, reports and applications. He acts as the main point of contact for clients and assists them in navigating the planning process.
